So here is what it started life as, a stubby 2WD military tow tug. And here is what we turned it into, a 4WD, 4" lifted awesome looking trail machine. We put Wagoneer axles in with 4.10 gears, fabbed in a 4" bds lift from a full size Wagoneer, stretched the frame several feet and put on 35 inch Pro Comp X Terrains. We had to change out the transfer case because the military gutted the 229 case and locked it in low range. The bed was custom made at a street rod shop and bedlined by Line X. One interesting thing to note is these Jeeps have a normally aspirated 3.3l 6 cylinder diesel made by Nissan. Not much of a powerhouse. Just thought you might enjoy these pictures.--
