I have been selling hemi Wrangler products to the Middle East area for a few years now but up until now have not visited there. So when Feri Zekkison, sales and marketing manager of AEV Dubai (no, not the same as you know who) extended an invitation to visit his new showroom and shop facilities I went over right away.

   AEV Dubai’s new facilities are impressive-a showroom that has 1800 square feet and is packed with product from all the major 4x4 manufacturers. AEV Dubai also has 2 different shop areas to install products. One is in Dubai (7500 square feet) and the other in Sharjah (5000 sq. feet). Several hemi conversions were being worked on at the Sharjah location and there was even a 6.7 stroked chevy motor in a TJ. Their shop facilities are well set up and ready to tackle any job that comes their way.

   They use Burnsville Offroad products for all their hemi conversions and they stock the TMD heat reduction hood too. The staff at AEV took me wheeling in the desert one day. Samer (the boss) Feri and Sami all have 6.1 powered JK’s and these guys love to use them. The 30 mile drive to the desert was a blast-several times we topped 160 kmh as the speed limit is quite high in Dubai. The desert and dunes area is huge and a lot of fun. A great place to use a hemi powered JK.

   This trip taught me a lot about how the jeeps need to be set up for this part of the world and I came back with several orders for new hemi JK complete buildups all using my newest ideas. Dubai is an amazing place and I am glad I went.
