What did we do here? We took a 4 door JK, removed the back end and closed it in to make a pickup cab. To make it easier to get in the backseat we made the rear door bigger and matched its outline to the front door. Leaving the JK door as is just looked all wrong. This particular JK was built with an aluminum flatbed so that a gooseneck hitch could be installed. The JK Hauler can be built onto the JK frame but for this project we put it onto a 2010 Dodge Power Wagon chassis and retained the ¾ ton axles and the 5.7 hemi. A smooth riding 153″ wheelbase was set and the rear suspension was changed out to an auto leveling Kelderman 4 link air ride set up. Very cool. Several options are available as far as powerplant and wheelbase length. Hauler can also be built with a standard pickup bed as well. We can build one of these for you NOW—no waiting. Give us a call.
There is also a Solidworks drawing of the proposed aluminum bed that is being made by Nemesis Industries.
