This JK has what I call our “Max Cool package”, the engine driven fan has the Dodge thermostatic clutch and pulls massive amounts of air at all rpms. On JKs that have a Warn powerplant we also install a 12″ Spal pusher fan assembly that can either be turned on with a thermostat or toggle switch. This set up has been tested in the desert heat in the Middle East and the high mountain passes in Colorado. You can’t beat it. You want your hemi JK to run cool? BOR is where its at.

THE SEMA show is almost here so I thought I would share one of our display rigs with you. This is a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited. We installed the 392 Dodge power Wagon engine mated to the WA580 5 speed automatic transmission. This transmission is excellent. Lower first gear than the 545RFE. You always have the perfect gear. Chrysler designed this transmission to go behind the SRT hemi engines and the first drive shows you why. This is the transmission to use behind the larger displacement SRT hemi engines. The Wrangler now has that true “SRT feel” when you mash the throttle. Are you ready for a 2012 Hemi Wrangler? If so send it on over. We are finishing up the Tera CRD axle install as well as the Tera Prerunner longarm kit. This is all well built merchandise and from our years of experience with Teraflex we know it will work well. Its almost time to head to Nemesis for the next phase.

The 40 inch MTRs and Hutchinsons are on now. The new 392 hemi drives beautiful and the transmission is flawless. The 2012 will be the best hemi JK yet. The Teraflex longarm has a phenomenal ride. This is a well engineered kit. Nothing was left out. The Power Wagon motor pulls hard and is a real blast to drive.

I have noticed there are many misconceptions and lies being circulated about hemi JK engine programming especially in regards to 2011 model year Wranglers. Let me go on record again to make this clear.

CRUISE CONTROL
Cruise control works on all BOR equipped Hemi JK’s, including model years 2007 thru 2012. This includes VVT hemi engines and automatic and manual transmission hemi JK conversions. Everything works on your JK when we are done. Everything. Period.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, ESP LIGHTS ETC
There is another lie being circulated that having all the lights on in your cluster is ok because that’s the only way that you will have full power. This is absolutely untrue. If the lights are on you do not have a fully functional conversion and lights left on indicate that your systems are not functioning. The lights are not on in a BOR conversion for the reason that all the JK systems are functioning properly. Anyone that tells you any different is not telling you the truth.

We work very hard at BOR to have our engine programming perfect for every hemi engine we offer and we have the track record to prove it. We invented the Hemi JK conversion back in 2006 and have been the leaders in this conversion ever since. Our shop in Minnesota has completed more hemi conversions than all the other shops in the world combined. By a large margin. So get the truth about your Hemi JK conversion before giving thousands of dollars to someone that is not telling you the whole story. I have had this 2 door JK with a 6.1 hemi for several years now. I decided it was time for a new VVT hemi to go in. I started with a truck motor and sent the short block to Arrington engines to get the displacement bumped from 5.7 to 6.7. After receiving the engine back we installed 392 heads, valvetrain and camshaft to round out the engine package. The 6.1 was a great motor in its day but VVT technology makes for a much better running hemi conversion. My engine programs are perfect and when you drive one the difference is huge.

The JK was painted Challenger Furious Fuschia to give the JK a new look also. The truck hemi utilizes the engine driven fan and the pics show our new aluminum fan shroud that was made by Nemesis Industries. The motor transplant only took 2 days and now we have increased the lower rpm torque while retaining the high rpm power we have come to enjoy. This 6.7 VVT hemi is well over 500 horse and it shows. A new set of Goodyear MTR tires and American Racing wheels finish the job. A TMD heat reduction hood will be installed as well to add to the looks and functionality of the latest BOR VVT hemi conversion.
