Charlie Writes:
I researched different conversions and conversion companies for about 5 months before deciding on BOR & Nemesis Ind.
Paul at BOR East and Dan at BOR West answered any question I had. Thankfully he made suggestions to the build that were spot on. My jeep would not be the jeep it is If I he hadn't helped me out with his knowledge of suspensions and lifts.
My experience with Burnsville started because I wasn't pleased at all with the Ripp Supercharger that I had installed 5 months previously. The programming problems were a headache. Then after the S/C started leaking oil I started looking for different options.
The 6.4 hemi is a little bit expensive. BUT, I guarantee this engine is a machine. I don't do it very often, but it is possible to lay a scratch wearing, 35" BFG KM2's. It is no longer a struggle passing a few 18 wheelers at the same time on the highway.
BOR's attention to Detail surpasses all others. They changed my Manual to an automatic so that my wife could drive it also. It looks completely stock and every part is new.
I will never own another jeep without turning it over to BOR first.
John, 2011 JK Unlimited Rubicon, 5.7VVT Truck Motor Conversion
John Writes:
I've known Paul at BOR-W for years - his attention to detail and his problem solving skills are fantastic. I found over the years of having him do projects for me that he'd rather do it right the first time than have to do it again. I then began to search the web for issues that people were having with various conversions and discussed this in detail with companies prior to my decision. I was also looking for a company who could do a 2011 JKU and make the VVT work. BOR/Nemesis let me drive a couple of 2011 JK's prior to making a decision and well, they just worked. No CEL's, no overheating, the cruise control worked and holy crud were they fast (1-5.7VVT and 1-6.4VVT) . I was looking for a truck that would be reliable as I would be putting up to 40k miles a year on it driving across the west. After 10k miles I know I made the right decision.
Simple, easy and done right the first time. I picked up my 2011 JKU Rubicon in late June of 2011 and drove it right over. During the build they added fenders, front bumper and side skids which they powder coated them to match the wheel powder coat. When I came to pick it up I hit the autostart and boom! The motor fired right up! The work is beautiful! It looks like it came from the factory this way. I put 10,000 miles on it in the first 5 months and this is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. I can't believe Jeep doesn't build this machine. I've got 35" tires and my MPG's on this truck are consistently in the 13-15 MPG range. These guys do it right.
Travis, 2008 JK Unlimited Rubicon, 5.7VVT Truck Motor Conversion
Travis Writes:
I went with the Truck Hemi conversion, bought my own motor and tranny, a 2011 5.7VVT with matching 545rfe auto out of a Dodge Ram. I chose Burnsville West because they are local and they offered the truck motor swap. The Jeep is just a pleasure to drive. Before, climbing in the mountain passes here in Colorado was a nightmare…It is a much better expereince now, much easier to drive, especialy on the highway. Burnsville went above and beyond my expectations when I discovered a power steering leak. Paul, who is part owner of Burnsville West, spent several hours fixing it, then delivered my rig at 10:30pm since I had no ride to the shop……pretty nice!
Dave, 2009 JK, 5.7VVT Truck Motor Conversion
When asked if Burnsville did anything above and beyond his expectiations Dave says:
Absolutely, Brian, Dan, and Rob have all consistently gone above and beyond with their service. Dan and Brian answered all of my questions leading up to and through out my build. I was doing one of the first WK conversions for the 2011 and had a lot of issues with the new shift upgrades on the transmission. Dan and Brian were both responsive to all my trouble shooting questions and ultimately found the right solution. What amazes me is that its been about a year since I've done the conversion and Dan still remembers me, my jeep, and is just as responsive with questions today as he was when I was in the process of buying.
Why did you choose Burnsville for your Hemi Conversion?
A couple of reasons:
Far more responsive during the sales process.
Unlike competitors, they answered questions and were able to give specific details as to the pros and cons of their conversions
Much more open engine compartment
Nicer guys to deal with on the phone
Much better reputation on the web - ie their builds looked much better then the competitions.
I didn't feel like I was buying "yet another maybe this will work" set up from a big catalog store.
